The first step
Often a single conversation helps.
Many families carry the burden of care alone for a long time. On my first visit I come to your home, listen and together we work out what will relieve you now.
Care advice · Support · Interpreting
I am Sarah Abdi, a registered geriatric nurse from Troisdorf. I advise you on care levels, applications and support at home and accompany you to doctors and authorities when needed. There I can also interpret in Somali and Arabic. This helps you and your family keep the overview and shape everyday life as independently as possible.

My path with you
Dear family, care often enters your life suddenly. Here I tell you how I work and why I support families in Troisdorf and the surrounding area.

The first step
Many families carry the burden of care alone for a long time. On my first visit I come to your home, listen and together we work out what will relieve you now.

What I believe in
I founded Sonnhand to support people who find the German language difficult in everyday care. That is why I advise in German, Somali, Arabic and English and take time for all your questions.

Stronger together
I have worked in care for 25 years, including at the Cellitinnen-Krankenhaus St. Marien, at JOVITA Rheinland and at City Inklusive in Troisdorf. I pass this knowledge on and explain care levels and benefits to you in clear words. I am also at your side with applications and, if needed, accompany you to doctors and public offices.

Perhaps quite soon
In closing
Once applications, appointments and medication are sorted, there is room again for what matters in everyday life. For a cup of tea by the window, a look through the old photo album and quiet evenings in the garden.
A clear weekly plan gives you and your family security. I keep an eye on appointments with you, explain every step calmly and am available for your questions.
A short call is enough to get started. We discuss everything else in person at your home.

Services
For every service I come to your home and take time for your questions. Here you can see what I take care of for you.

Service 01 · Duration approx. 1 hour
Care raises many questions. I explain care levels, benefits and relief services in clear words and guide you through the formalities. In my care courses, relatives learn how care works in everyday life, from supporting someone without straining your back to looking after yourself.

Service 02 · Duration approx. 2 hours
I accompany you to doctors and therapy and prepare important conversations together with you. In everyday life I am at your side on walks and when shopping and give you time to talk.

Service 03 · Duration 30 to 60 minutes
With doctors, offices and the care insurance, every word counts. I translate for you between German and Somali and between German and Arabic, so that you understand every decision. Language assistance supports the conversation, while medical advice stays with your doctor.

Service 04 · Duration 20 to 30 minutes
Many medicines at fixed times are hard to keep track of. I organise the plan with you, give advice on taking it and answer your questions, always within the legal requirements.
Typical situations
Do you recognise yourself in one of these points? Then a conversation with me is a good next step.
